Jerry McLaughlin was an avid golfer who loved helping kids, and in particular, those who were passionate about the sport of golf. Jerry was a long time member of the Caribou Country Club and when he passed away his family established the Jarrett 'Jerry' McLaughlin Memorial Scramble and two $500 scholarships in his remembrance. Awarded to graduating seniors who are members of the local golfing community, either with the Caribou Varsity Golf Team or within the CCC family of golfers. The scholarship will be selected by a committee consisting of the CCC President, the CCC Youth Golf Committee Chair, and the Caribou Varsity Golf Coach. This is a single payment, non-recurring scholarship. The scholarship will be selected summer of 2021 and awarded immediately upon completion of the Memorial Scramble, tentatively scheduled for August 21, 2021.
The scholarship is open to all 2021 CHS graduates. The application should be completed and submitted to the Carlisle Varsity Golf Coach not later than 18 June, 2021.
